DIAGNOSING A ROTATOR CUFF INJURY

The diagnosis of the Rotator cuff injury starts with the physical examination of the shoulder. The range of motion and muscle strength is checked during the examination.

In addition, the following tests might also be necessary :

MRI: MRI is done to get the detailed pictures of rotator cuff

X-rays: X-Rays are taken to look at the bone damage or dislocation

Ultrasound: It is needed to look at the muscle damage or tear in the shoulder
